Application of AM5SE series microcomputer protection device in the power distribution project of Linyi Olympic Sports Center

Abstract: Currently, microcomputer protection devices are widely used in power systems. These devices can effectively monitor the operation status of power systems and record the location and nature of faults in real time, providing effective reference information for rapid fault handling. The AM5SE series microcomputer protection device introduced in this article can provide corresponding protection functions for different protection objects in the Linyi Olympic Sports Center distribution project, greatly improving the reliability and safety of substation operation, and enhancing power supply quality. It is conducive to achieving comprehensive automation of substations and realizing unmanned or few person duty.

1 Overview

The Linyi Olympic Sports Center is located at the intersection of Xi'an Road and Xiaohe Road in Beicheng New District, Lanshan District, Linyi City, Shandong Province. It is a comprehensive large-scale Olympic park built in accordance with the requirements of cities with a population of over 2 million, integrating functions such as sports and fitness, cultural entertainment, and emergency shelter. Divided by the Liuqing River, it is divided into two districts: east and west. The total land area is 1218 acres, with a total construction area of 501000 square meters. Among them, 60000 large Grade A sports stadiums cover an area of 120000 square meters; 12000 super large Grade A sports venues covering an area of 89000 square meters; 1500 medium-sized Grade A swimming pools covering an area of 47000 square meters; The National Fitness Center covers an area of 89000 square meters, the Xizhi Cultural Center covers an area of 40000 square meters, and is equipped with Linyi Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Art Museum, Art Museum, Library, Cultural Bookstore, and Comprehensive Exhibition Hall. In addition, 12500 national standard disaster relief tents and supporting facilities have been reserved for construction.

This project is located in the northeast of the intersection of Xiaohe Road and Taiyuan Road in Beicheng New District, Linyi City. Mainly including: 3 10kV high-voltage switch stations, 14 transformer and distribution rooms, power supply equipment and related supporting equipment and facilities. Among them, all three high-voltage switch stations are equipped with a 10kV dual power supply system, with power coming from the self checking 110kV substation outgoing interval. The 10kV high voltage is operated separately and serves as a backup power supply for each other. The overall high-voltage incoming and outgoing lines of the project adopt a bottom in and bottom out method, and the busbar needs to be fitted with heat shrink tubing. Each high-voltage cabinet needs to be equipped with a moisture-proof electric heater, and measures should be taken to prevent electric shock, with "five prevention functions". The protective devices are arranged on the switchgear, and the switchgear is controlled on-site.

2 Product Requirements

This time, different microcomputer protection devices are configured for different objects in the distribution project of Linyi Olympic Sports Center. The project requires that the incoming line be equipped with quick break, overcurrent, and zero sequence protection functions; The transformer output line is equipped with quick break, overcurrent, zero sequence, and temperature protection functions; The contact is equipped with overcurrent, quick break, and backup automatic switching protection functions. Therefore, AM5SE-F line protection device is installed in the incoming cabinet, AM5SE-T transformer protection device is installed in the transformer cabinet, and AM5SE-B backup automatic switching protection device is installed in the interconnection cabinet. In addition, the AM5SE-UB PT parallel monitoring device is configured in the PT cabinet to achieve PT monitoring parallel and harmonic elimination functions. These microcomputer protection devices mainly achieve real-time monitoring and protection of the operation of high-voltage cabinet equipment through the following protection functions:

3 Product Solutions

This power distribution project is the 10kV Linyi Olympic Sports Center power distribution project, including 3 high-voltage switch stations and 14 transformer and distribution rooms, all of which adopt a single busbar system. Among them, the high-voltage distribution room consists of two sections of busbars. The entire project is equipped with 54 Ankerui protection devices. 4. On site installation pictures

The microcomputer protection of this project is installed locally and dispersed on various high-voltage switchgear cabinets. The on-site installation is shown in the following figure. The project has been powered on and operated normally since 2024.

5 Conclusion

The adoption of microcomputer protection devices in the power system is an inevitable trend in the intelligent development of the power grid. Compared with traditional relays, although the price of microcomputer protection is relatively high, it can greatly improve the reliability, safety, and power supply quality of substation operation, which is conducive to achieving comprehensive automation of substations, realizing unmanned or few person duty, and greatly saving costs in another way. The Linyi Olympic Sports Center distribution project introduced in this article not only achieves comprehensive automation of the entire distribution project by installing corresponding protection devices for each protected object, but also effectively reduces the labor intensity of workers and improves the reliability of equipment operation.
