Burkco valve selection:
The correct selection of Burocco control valves is an important step in the practical application of control equipment. In fact, if the valve selection is improper, even if an excellent controller is used in the circuit, good control cannot be achieved. To achieve good regulation performance, the valve should be operated in the middle of its entire stroke. The flow rate value used in valve selection should be the estimated value during the design period, which is between 1.2-1.6. Use the following valve flow coefficient for valve selection calculation. Each specification of valve has a specific flow coefficient.
Note: KV refers to the conversion ratio of flow coefficient to metric units, which is CV: 1.17
The following formula applies to liquids that do not evaporate at operating temperature:
