Brand cultivation: a practitioner of transmission equipment starting from Milan
In 1981, Luigi Maggioni founded Unimec in Usmate Velate, a suburb of Milan. After more than 40 years of development, Unimec has formed a transmission equipment system centered on screw jacks, bevel gearboxes, and speed regulating gears, serving the global industrial sector with its products. Nowadays, Unimec's production base covers an area of 20000 square meters, of which 10000 square meters are enclosed production and office areas, distributed in three interconnected buildings, equipped with metrology laboratories, automated warehouses, and product exhibition halls. There are also more than 50 training and conference rooms to provide support for technical exchanges and employee training.
Unlike the global OEM model, Unimec adheres to the "Made in Unimec" full industry chain production, sourcing traceable certified raw materials from Italy and independently completing the entire process of design, processing, and assembly. Its technical team uses solid forming, finite element analysis (FEA), TRIZ innovative methods and other technologies to ensure that the proportion of self-produced content in new products is not less than 80%. This deep control mode of the production process enables it to accurately grasp the core characteristics of the product and provide a foundation for customized solutions. The production workshop is equipped with multi axis CNC milling machines, lathes, gear processing machines, lathes, temperature controlled rolling mills and other equipment. It also has a water-based coating line with zero environmental impact, combined with advanced metrology analysis laboratories, forming a complete closed-loop from research and development to quality inspection.

(1) Main product matrix
Unimec's product system focuses on the core requirements of industrial transmission, covering three major categories of core equipment:
Spiral jack: suitable for linear motion scenarios such as lifting and pushing heavy objects, can provide different tonnage specifications according to load requirements, and supports single or multiple linkage control;
Cone gearbox: used to change the transmission direction and speed, adapt to complex spatial layout transmission systems, and have multiple installation angles to choose from;
Speed control gear: achieves precise speed regulation, adapts to the power matching between the motor and the working machine, covering a variety of speed ranges from low to high.
(2) Typical model: QUE-20-C gearbox in-depth analysis
As a representative of widely used transmission equipment, the QUE-20-C reducer covers multiple fields such as petroleum, geology, shipbuilding, and pharmaceuticals with its flexible adaptability and stable performance.
Core parameters: Provides multiple reduction ratio options such as 5:1, 10:1, 15:1, etc. The input speed is adapted to conventional motor speeds such as 1500rpm, and the output torque can reach 500Nm (depending on the model). The power coverage ranges from 0.5kW to 10kW, and is suitable for different equipment power requirements;
Structural design: Supports two installation methods: flange installation and base installation. Flange installation ensures concentricity with the equipment, reduces vibration, and base installation is suitable for stable placement in large spaces; The output shaft includes solid shaft and hollow shaft types. Solid shaft has high strength and is suitable for rigid transmission connections. Hollow shaft can penetrate other shaft components, saving installation space;
Performance characteristics: The transmission efficiency reaches 85% -95%, which can reduce energy loss and adapt to long-term operating scenarios; The working temperature range is usually -10 ℃~+40 ℃, which can be specially designed to adapt to high temperature, humid or dusty environments, meeting the special working conditions of steel plants, paper mills, cement plants and other industries.

Unimec's production process relies on the new generation of CNC machine tools and robot feeding systems to achieve partially unmanned production, ensuring machining accuracy and consistency. Its metrology analysis laboratory provides data feedback for research and development, enabling product design to meet actual working conditions. Unimec can quickly adjust parameters based on its independent production advantages to meet the personalized needs of different industries, such as customizing large reduction ratio models for crane lifting mechanisms to enhance torque, and designing low vibration flange mounted reducers for precision machine tools.
