Date: 2025-05-21Read: 4
Heavy duty chemical protective clothing is a protective equipment designed specifically for working in environments with toxic chemicals, corrosive substances, or high-temperature liquids, aimed at protecting the wearer from chemical hazards. It is suitable for Class A high-risk environments (such as chemical leaks, fire emergencies, etc.) and usually requires the use of a respirator to ensure airtightness and full body protection.
Protection level and standards
A-level chemical protective clothing (such as DuPont Tychem 10000 TK554T): The highest level of protection, suitable for extremely hazardous environments, requires built-in respirators, and the material has passed more than 280 chemical tests.
B-class chemical protection suit (such as Dinghe DH556): focuses on liquid protection, weighs about 6.5kg, suitable for emergency rescue scenarios.
Specification for Wearing Heavy Chemical Protective Clothing
1、 Preparation before wearing
Equipment inspection
Check the integrity of the chemical protective suit, focusing on the condition of the seams, zippers, and adhesive layer, and confirm that there is no damage or contamination.
Verify that the supporting equipment (chemical resistant boots, gloves, respirators, etc.) are functioning properly and that the pressure of the respirator cylinder meets the standard.
Personal preparation
Wear sweat absorbing underwear and socks to ensure that your body is dry and free of oil, and keep your hair fixed to avoid exposure.
2、 Wearing process
Basic attire
After taking off the shoes, wear chemical resistant boots and secure the pant legs to prevent gaps between the rubber boots and the pant legs.
Fully unzip the chemical resistant suit, insert your feet into your pants one by one, lift them to your waist, and thread your arms into the sleeves.
Respirators and sealing reinforcement
Wear a protective mask and adjust the headband. Tilt the respirator cylinder valve downwards at a 45 ° angle and connect the distribution valve to the chemical protective suit valve.
Assisted by an assistant, pull up the back sealing zipper, press down on the outer tape cover, and fasten the waist belt.
Additional protection
Wear a hood and fasten the neck strap, put gloves on the outside of the cuffs, and secure the inner sleeve with a thumb loop to prevent displacement.
3、 Check after wearing
Perform bending and stretching movements to test the sealing, and confirm normal communication through the respirator intercom function.
Observe the transparency of the screen and the fit of the clothing to ensure that there is no skin exposure or loose equipment.
4、 Precautions for disassembly
Loosen the straps from bottom to top, retract your hands to the inside of your sleeve and remove the gloves in reverse to avoid contact with contaminated surfaces.
Use neutral detergent or 0.5% -1% sodium carbonate solution during cleaning, and store in the shade to prevent aging.
