How does the condensation system of the UV aging test chamber operate

The condensation system of the UV aging test chamber evaluates the moisture and corrosion resistance of materials by simulating outdoor dew environments. Its operation is based on thermodynamic principles, and the core is to use temperature differences to form condensation water on the surface of the sample. ‌

The core of system operation lies in the formation mechanism of condensed water: the reservoir at the bottom of the test chamber is heated to generate hot steam, causing the relative humidity in the test room to approach 100% and the temperature to rise; The sample is fixed on the side wall of the testing room, and its side facing away from the environment is exposed to cooler air, causing the surface temperature of the sample to be lower than the dew point temperature, thereby causing water vapor to condense into a water film covering the surface of the sample, simulating dew erosion at night. ‌

The operation process mainly includes preset parameters, starting heating, forming condensation, and process control. Firstly, the temperature (usually 40-60 ℃) and humidity are preset by the control system; After heating the reservoir, steam fills the testing room; The surface of the sample continuously forms uniform condensed water due to temperature differences, and the process is independent of ultraviolet light irradiation. It can be operated separately or alternately to simulate day night cycles. ‌

The key design features ensure the accuracy and reliability of the simulation:

Automatic water supply system: The water level is controlled by a float valve or water pump, and ordinary tap water can be used. The water is automatically distilled during the evaporation process, and the condensed water is pure and contains saturated oxygen, enhancing the erosion effect. ‌

Accurate temperature control: UV exposure and condensation temperature are independently adjusted (exposure temperature is always set at 50-80 ℃) to ensure test reproducibility. ‌

Sample rack design: The sample is installed at an angle to facilitate the flow of condensed water, avoid accumulation, and maintain a uniformly moist surface. ‌

The system can accelerate the assessment of outdoor durability of materials within weeks by accurately simulating natural humid environments. ‌
