What is the working principle of the sand and dust test chamber
The working principle of the sand and dust test chamber is to simulate the natural sand and dust environment and test the sealing performance of the product shell, mainly based on the IP5X and IP6X protection level standards for testing.
Airflow circulation and dust distribution: The equipment adopts a closed vertical circulation air duct system driven by a centrifugal fan, forming an "O" - shaped airflow path. The fan sucks in sand and dust from the bottom of the air duct, transports it to the top of the test chamber through a stainless steel air duct, and then uniformly blows it towards the surface of the sample through a diffusion port; The frequency converter can adjust the wind speed (usually 0.5-10m/s) and optimize the airflow distribution with the help of flow guiding components to ensure that sand and dust are evenly suspended in the test space and avoid local concentration differences.
Dust control and environmental simulation: The experimental dust enters the airflow from the hopper through a shaker or vibration motor, and is recycled to reduce costs; The dust concentration (0-100g/m ³) can be monitored by an optical concentration meter and the powder feeding amount can be automatically adjusted. At the same time, some equipment integrates temperature and humidity control (such as a temperature range of -40 ℃ to 85 ℃) and air pressure regulation functions to simulate the sand and dust environment under real climate conditions.
Experimental process and parameter adjustment: The system supports programming to set the blowing time (1 second to 999 hours), stop time, and number of cycles, forming an adjustable cycle of "blowing stop blowing"; The built-in turntable in the test chamber can drive the sample to rotate, ensuring that the sand and dust cover the surface evenly. The observation window is equipped with a dust scraper and explosion-proof lighting for real-time monitoring. By adjusting the wind speed, concentration, and cycle parameters, it simulates the penetration, abrasion, or blockage effects of dry sand or dust atmosphere on the product and evaluates its protective ability.
