Thermal oil furnace is the customary term for "organic heat carrier furnace". Using thermal oil as the medium, a circulating oil pump is used to force the thermal oil to circulate in the liquid phase, delivering thermal energy to the heating equipment before returning to the heating furnace for reheating. Organic heat carrier furnaces have the characteristics of low pressure (at atmospheric pressure or lower), high temperature (around 300 ℃), environmental protection, and energy saving. They can accurately control the working temperature. Thermal oil furnaces are a special type of boiler, and their working medium (heat medium) is not water, but thermal oil. The advantage of using thermal oil as the working medium is that it can achieve higher working temperatures at lower working pressures to meet the industrial demand for low-pressure and high-temperature heat sources. For example, the heat transfer oil can be heated to 300 ℃ at a low pressure of 0.8MPa. The heat transfer oil furnace has a lower working pressure, high thermal efficiency, convenient manufacturing, and simple operation, and is widely used in various industrial sectors such as petrochemicals, light industry, textiles, food, building materials, and transportation Key points of thermal oil furnace; The main danger of a thermal oil furnace is fire. Once the heat transfer oil leaks from the heating system of the heat transfer oil furnace, it will ignite or self ignite due to its high temperature and contact with or proximity to flames, causing a fire. In addition, thermal oil furnaces may also experience explosion accidents due to the presence of water in the thermal oil. Preventing accidents in thermal oil furnaces requires simultaneous efforts from both equipment and medium aspects. Firstly, ensuring that the equipment has sufficient strength and tightness to prevent damage or leakage; The second is to ensure that the heat transfer oil does not overheat or deteriorate during heating, and flows and exchanges heat normally. Mainly, during start-up, the thermal oil furnace should fully discharge air, water vapor, and light components. During operation, a sufficiently high flow rate of the heat transfer oil should be maintained to prevent power outages and pump shutdowns, in order to prevent overheating, coking, or carbon deposition of the heat transfer oil. 2. The devices of the thermal oil furnace and heating system should be complete and intact, and the over temperature and over pressure protection devices should be sensitive and reliable.
