Project Background

The large-scale ground photovoltaic power station occupies a vast area and is an important clean energy supply base in the local area. However, the climate in the region is complex and variable, with frequent sandstorms and large seasonal temperature differences, which have a significant impact on the power generation efficiency and equipment lifespan of photovoltaic power plants. In order to improve the operation and maintenance level and power generation efficiency of the power station, the power station management decided to introduce advanced meteorological monitoring equipment. After multiple investigations, the photovoltaic meteorological station of Fengtu Technology was ultimately selected.

After a deep understanding of the geographical environment, climate characteristics, and operation and maintenance needs of the power station, the professional team of Fengtu Technology has tailored a photovoltaic meteorological monitoring solution for the power station. Multiple sets of meteorological stations including wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, air pressure, solar radiation, and other factors have been installed at key locations of the power station, such as the photovoltaic array area and the inverter room. These meteorological stations transmit real-time data to the monitoring center of the power station through wireless communication technology, achieving real-time monitoring of the meteorological environment.

By comparing historical and real-time data, detailed meteorological reports and power generation prediction models are generated to provide scientific basis for the operation and maintenance decisions of power plants.

Accurate power generation prediction: With the help of meteorological data and power generation prediction models provided by Fengtu Technology's photovoltaic weather station, the power station can understand the power generation situation in the future in advance and arrange power production and sales plans reasonably.

Equipment protection and maintenance optimization: according to the early warning information of severe weather such as sand dust and rainstorm monitored by the meteorological station, the power station takes protective measures in advance, such as covering photovoltaic modules, strengthening inverter and other equipment, which reduces the risk of equipment damage. At the same time, by analyzing data such as temperature and humidity, reasonable arrangements for equipment inspection and maintenance cycles have been made, reducing equipment failure rates and improving equipment reliability and service life.

Improving power generation efficiency: Based on solar radiation data, the power station optimized the inclination and orientation of the photovoltaic array, enabling the photovoltaic modules to better receive solar radiation and improve power generation efficiency.
