The Soil Heat Flux Sensor Technology Exchange Conference hosted by Shandong Tianhe Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully held in Weifang recently. The conference aims to promote the development and application of soil heat flux monitoring technology, attracting nearly 100 experts, scholars, and technical personnel from agricultural research institutes, meteorological departments, environmental protection agencies, and related enterprises from all over the country.

At the beginning of the exchange meeting, Yu Hailiang, General Manager of Shandong Tianhe Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., delivered the opening speech, warmly welcoming the guests and briefly introducing the company's research and development achievements and market layout in the field of environmental monitoring equipment. He emphasized that soil heat flux is a key parameter for studying surface energy balance, agricultural soil moisture, climate change, and other fields. Accurate monitoring is of great significance for agricultural production and ecological protection. The soil heat flux sensor independently developed by the company adopts advanced thermal diffusion principle and digital signal processing technology, which has the characteristics of high accuracy, low power consumption, and strong anti-interference. It has been put into use in multiple agricultural experimental stations and ecological monitoring points in China and has received high praise from users.

Subsequently, the technical director provided a detailed introduction to the core technical principles and product features of the soil heat flux sensor. The sensor is based on the thermal pulse method to measure soil heat flux. It collects real-time soil temperature gradient and heat flux data through a built-in high-precision thermoelectric stack and temperature probe, and calculates the heat flux value by combining it with an algorithm model. The product design uses waterproof and corrosion-resistant materials to adapt to various outdoor environments, while supporting wireless transmission and remote monitoring, making it convenient for users to integrate into existing monitoring systems. The technical director also demonstrated the installation process and data reading method of the sensor on site, and answered common questions about calibration methods, long-term stability, etc.

In the special report section, several experts shared application cases of soil heat flux sensors in agricultural irrigation, geological hazard warning, urban heat island effect research, and other fields. Professor Li from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences stated that by using this sensor, the team achieved synchronous monitoring of soil moisture and heat in wheat field experiments in the Huang Huai Hai Plain, providing data support for optimizing irrigation schemes. Engineer Wang from Shandong Provincial Meteorological Bureau introduced the application of sensors in landslide monitoring in mountainous areas, pointing out that abnormal changes in soil heat flux can serve as a precursor indicator for geological disasters, which can help improve the timeliness of early warning. In addition, representatives from the environmental protection department also discussed the potential of sensors in evaluating the cooling effect of urban green spaces, believing that their data can provide scientific basis for urban planning.

The interactive discussion session of the exchange meeting had a lively atmosphere. The attendees conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the installation depth of sensors, factors affecting data accuracy, and multi-sensor networking technology. The technical team of Shandong Tianhe Company responded to on-site questions one by one and collected multiple improvement suggestions, such as adding solar power supply options, developing multi parameter integrated probes, etc., and stated that they will be included in the subsequent product upgrade plan.

This technical exchange meeting not only showcased the innovative strength of Shandong Tianhe Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. in the field of soil heat flux monitoring, but also provided a valuable communication platform for industry experts. Participants generally believe that such activities can help promote industry university research cooperation and advance the standardization and popularization of environmental monitoring technology. Shandong Tianhe Company stated that it will continue to increase research and development investment, improve its product line, and regularly hold technical exchange activities to contribute to protecting the ecological environment and ensuring food security.
