Introduction to SEW rectifier BG series
BG brake rectifier - suitable for rack sizes of 100 and below, not suitable for rack sizes above 100
BG brake rectifier is a half wave rectifier with overvoltage protection function.
If there are no special requirements for the release response time of the brake, the rectifier is suitable for small motors. It cannot be used in situations where the ambient temperature is high or the brake cooling conditions are unfavorable.
Introduction to SEW rectifier BGE series
BGE brake rectifier - standard for 112M and above rack size motors, optional for 71 to 100 rack sizes
BGE brake rectifier is a half wave rectifier with overvoltage protection components and electronic control devices, which can shorten the response time of brake release.
The BGE rectifier improves the operation of the brake by first using magnetization to release the brake, and then firmly holding the stationary disc by reducing the magnetization strength. Due to the extremely short response time of the brake release, the brake can be released before the motor establishes torque and begins to rotate. This braking system has significant characteristics such as minimal wear, long service life, and excellent switch performance.
In the continuous release state, the current loss is reduced to a low level, so the thermal load of the brake is very low.
It is recommended to use BGE brake rectifier in the following situations:
·Requires a shorter brake release response time.
·The startup frequency is relatively high.
·When the ambient temperature is high, or when the motor is stationary or running at low speed, it is necessary to maintain a continuous release state of the brake.
