The installation steps for Schneider EOCR-SS protector are as follows:
Pre-installation preparation
Select modelAccording to the rated current, voltage, power and other parameters of the motor, select the appropriate model of EOCR-SS series overcurrent protector, such as EOCRSS-05S (0.5-6A), EOCRSS-30S (3-30A), etc.
Check accessories and toolsEnsure that screws, fixed brackets, and other accessories, as well as tools such as screwdrivers and insulation testers, are fully prepared.
Select installation locationChoose a location that is dry, ventilated, free of corrosive gases, away from strong electromagnetic fields and vibration sources, and easy to inspect and maintain. The installation frame or distribution box should have sufficient space.
Fixed protectorThe EOCR-SS protector supports 35mm rail installation. Fix it in the direction specified in the instruction manual on the mounting plate to ensure a secure installation and avoid inversion or tilting.
wiring
Power cord wiringConnect the three-phase wires of the power supply to the terminals labeled "L1", "L2", and "L3" on the protector, ensuring that the wiring is secure and the phase sequence is correct. If it is necessary to connect the neutral wire and the ground wire, connect the neutral wire to the corresponding N terminal and the ground wire to the grounding screw.
Electric motor wiringConnect the three-phase wires of the motor to the terminals labeled "M1", "M2", and "M3" on the protector.
Transformer wiring (if any)If an ammeter is required for display on the equipment site or in the control room, an additional current transformer needs to be installed. Pull out the bottom mounting plate of EOCR-SS, fix it above the transformer with M4 screws, and then connect the output end of the transformer's secondary side with a 1.5-square wire. The wire should pass through the CT hole of SS in the middle, and the direction of the two wires should be consistent.
Inspection and debugging
Wiring inspectionAfter the wiring is completed, carefully check whether all wiring is correct and ensure that each terminal is securely connected without looseness or missing connections.
power-on debuggingConnect the auxiliary power supply and observe whether the display screen or LED indicator of the EOCR-SS protector starts normally.
Parameter SettingsAccording to the actual situation of the motor, set parameters such as starting time (D-TIME) and overload action time (O-TIME) by rotating the corresponding knob on the protector. You can also adjust the load current setting knob to find the actual operating current of the motor and set the appropriate protection value.
Functional TestingYou can press the TEST button to test and verify if the protection function is working properly. The protector should trip after the set action time, and the power indicator light PWR and fault indicator light TRIP should enter the corresponding state. After the test is completed, press the RESET button to restore the normal working state
