Precautions for installing busbar voltage protection measurement and control device
Date: 2025-11-07Read: 24
The busbar voltage protection and measurement device is the core equipment to ensure the safety of the busbar in substations and distribution networks. Its installation quality directly affects the stability and safety of the system. The installation work must be rigorous and standardized, mainly divided into the following stages:
1、 Preparation before installation
1. Technical documentation and proposal preparation
Drawing review: Carefully read and understand the secondary circuit schematic, wiring diagram, cabinet layout diagram, and device manual. Clarify the direction and connection relationship of the voltage circuit (PT/VT secondary winding), control power circuit, input (signal) circuit, and communication line.
Construction plan: Develop detailed construction plans, safety measures, and technical disclosure records to ensure that all participants are clear about their tasks and risk points.
2. Equipment and on-site inspection
Device unboxing inspection:
Check if the device model, specifications, and design drawings are consistent.
Check the appearance of the device for any damage or deformation caused by transportation.
Check whether the attachments, certificates of conformity, instructions, etc. are complete according to the packing list.
Cabinet and foundation inspection:
Check whether the installation of the cabinet is firm and vertical, and whether the grounding is good.
Check if the screen is clean and free of metal shavings and debris.
Voltage Transformer (PT/VT) Circuit Inspection:
Confirm whether the use of PT secondary winding is correct (separate protective and measuring windings).
At the PT terminal box, it must be confirmed that the PT secondary circuit to be connected is intact, without short circuits or grounding faults. This is the key to preventing personal and equipment accidents caused by PT reverse power transmission!
