Common faults and their solutions
Possible causes and solutions for the fault phenomenon
Low insulation resistance cables are affected by moisture, damaged sheaths, and local drying or replacement of damaged sections
Re establish equipotential connection due to charged induced voltage or poor grounding of the armor layer
TDR detects mechanical damage at the breakpoint, looseness of the joint, and re connects or replaces it after positioning
Voltage withstand test, insulation breakdown, aging, manufacturing defects, replacement of the entire cable section
Selection and laying suggestions
Key selection points:
High rise building fire protection circuit: NH-YJV22 (fire-resistant+flame-retardant) must be selected.
Direct burial laying: PVC pipe protection is required to prevent armor corrosion.
Installation precautions:
Bending radius ≥ 15 times the outer diameter of the cable (to prevent damage to the insulation layer).
Avoid laying parallel to thermal pipelines (high temperature affects fire resistance).
