In the event of a safety accident, all personnel in densely populated areas quickly evacuate the accident site through various safety exits, and rescue personnel mainly enter the accident site through safety exits to rescue trapped persons or property. The fire safety exit indicator light is a type of light used to guide personnel to a safe area. Therefore, ensuring that the safety exit is unobstructed is an important measure to prevent mass casualties.
Installation requirements
1、 Fire emergency lights and safety evacuation indicator lights must be equipped with two power sources, namely normal power and emergency backup power. Emergency backup power is generally supplied by self generated electricity and batteries. If batteries are used, their continuous power supply time cannot be less than 200 minutes.
2、 The illumination of fire emergency lighting and safety evacuation signs should not be less than 0.5lx to fully illuminate corridors, stairs, and other evacuation routes. The fire control room, fire water pump room, self provided generator room, and areas that still need to work during a fire must also ensure normal illumination.
3、 The safety evacuation signs should be placed on the top of the emergency exit or on the wall below 1m from the ground at the corners of the evacuation corridor. The distance between the signs on the corridor should not exceed 20m. Fire emergency lighting and safety evacuation signs should be equipped with protective covers made of glass and other non combustible materials.
4、 Clear signs should be used to indicate the location and number of floors in the evacuation stairwell, so that people inside the building can timely understand their own position and facilitate safe evacuation.
