Reference for specification selection of explosion-proof sight hole lamp for reaction kettle
Date: 2025-09-09Read: 18

Explosion proof sight hole lamp is a lighting device specifically designed for use in flammable and explosive environments, and can be safely used in places where flammable gases, vapors, or dust are present. These types of lighting fixtures are specially designed and material selected to ensure that they do not become ignition sources during normal operation or unexpected situations, thereby ensuring the safety of the work area.

Sight hole lights are usually installed at the observation windows of various containers, reaction vessels, pipelines, and other equipment to provide necessary lighting for operators to observe the status, reaction process, or flow of internal materials. In industries such as chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and food processing, these types of lighting fixtures play an irreplaceable role.

2. Working principle of explosion-proof sight hole lamp

The core of explosion-proof sight hole lights lies in their explosion-proof design principles. When sparks or high temperatures may occur inside the lamp, the special structure can limit the possible explosion inside the lamp and prevent it from spreading to the external hazardous environment. This is mainly achieved through the following ways:

The outer shell of the lamp is made of high-strength materials, which can withstand the possible explosion pressure inside without breaking. The joint surface design of the lamp has a sufficiently long flame path, so that the flame generated by the explosion is sufficiently cooled when passing through the joint surface, and cannot ignite combustibles in the external environment. The internal circuit of the lamp adopts special protective measures to avoid generating electrical sparks or high temperatures that are sufficient to ignite the surrounding environment.

3. Main characteristics of explosion-proof sight hole lights

Explosion proof sight hole lamps have multiple characteristics that make them suitable for use in hazardous environments. Firstly, its excellent explosion-proof performance can meet the requirements of different explosion-proof areas. Secondly, it has good sealing performance, which can not only prevent explosion but also waterproof and dustproof, and adapt to various harsh working environments.

These types of lamps usually have a high level of protection and can resist the erosion of corrosive gases and liquids. The light source part often adopts a long-life design to reduce maintenance frequency. Considering the observation needs, the lighting of the lamps is usually uniform and soft, avoiding strong glare that affects the observation effect.

4. Application areas of explosion-proof sight hole lights

Explosion proof sight hole lamps are widely used in industrial places with explosion hazards. In the petrochemical industry, they are installed on various reaction vessels, distillation towers, storage tanks, and other equipment to observe internal reaction conditions. In the pharmaceutical industry, these types of lighting fixtures help operators monitor the status of materials inside fermentation tanks, mixing tanks, and other equipment.

Explosion proof sight lights are also used in places where there is a risk of dust explosion, such as grain processing and feed production. Paint and coating production workshops, as well as sewage treatment facilities containing flammable gases, are typical application scenarios for this type of lighting fixture.

The working voltage is mostly low voltage DC or AC, commonly including 12V, 24V, 36V, 110V, 220V, etc. The protection level is represented by IP code, such as IP65 for dust and water resistance. The working temperature range indicates the ambient temperature range within which the lighting fixture can operate normally. Attention should also be paid to physical parameters such as material, weight, and size.
