The 16th China International Road Traffic Safety Products Expo grandly opens

【Smart City Network Exhibition Report】On April 22nd, the 16th China International Road Traffic Safety Products Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "Expo"), hosted by the China Road Traffic Safety Association, was grandly opened at the Nanjing International Expo Center. The theme of this year's Traffic Expo is "New Quality and Power of Transportation, Four New Building of Safety", closely adhering to the four new requirements of "new policing concepts, new operating modes, new technological equipment, and new management systems". It comprehensively gathers cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements and innovative solutions in the field of road traffic safety, and drives the coordinated leap of public security traffic management new quality combat power and industry new quality productivity through technological innovation, injecting strong momentum into promoting the modernization of road traffic safety governance system and governance capacity.

This year's China International Import Expo will last for 3 days, with an exhibition area of 40000 square meters, three major theme exhibition halls, and more than 1800 booths. It will attract more than 360 exhibitors and display nearly 4000 exhibits, showcasing cutting-edge technology equipment and full scenario solutions. The technology content, practical adaptation ability, and industrial synergy level of the Expo will be further improved. Guests and representatives from the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, the Road Traffic Safety Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security, the Safety Coordination Department of the Ministry of Emergency Management, the Public Security Traffic Management Corps, Detachments, and Brigades of various provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) in China, as well as scientific research institutions, universities, relevant industry associations, and enterprises attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition.

This year's traffic expo has carefully set up three core exhibition areas: intelligent transportation innovation achievements, intelligent traffic management digitization, and traffic law enforcement and safety governance, focusing on showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as "vehicle road cloud integration" system, holographic intersection perception, AI video structured analysis, digital twin command and adjustment, integrated law enforcement equipment and other innovative achievements. At the opening ceremony, multiple industry achievements were released, providing guidance for the high-quality development of road traffic safety. The Blue Book on the Development of Intelligent Connected Vehicle Traffic Safety (2026) has been officially unveiled. This blue book was jointly compiled by the Road Traffic Safety Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security, Southeast University, the People's Public Security University of China, the China Road Traffic Safety Association, and other units. It comprehensively analyzes the current development status, industrial development characteristics, and policy development trends of intelligent connected vehicle technology, deeply explores the traffic safety management situation and challenges caused by intelligent connected vehicles on the road, systematically explores the scope, goals, tasks, and architecture of intelligent connected vehicle traffic safety governance, and focuses on ensuring the safe operation of intelligent connected vehicles on the road and even the road traffic system, and helps promote the high-quality development of the road traffic safety industry.

The Recommended Catalogue of Road Traffic Safety Products and Equipment (2026 Edition) will be released simultaneously. In order to build a bridge for precise docking between supply and demand, this year, based on the exhibits of the 16th China International Fair for Transport, a total of 162 high-quality products from 82 participating units were recommended, covering seven major categories such as traffic safety facilities and intelligent traffic management. The performance parameters, technical characteristics, and application cases of the exhibited products were comprehensively presented, providing reference for the equipment procurement of public security traffic management departments, effectively promoting innovation achievements from "scientific research and innovation" to "practical application", and helping traffic management technology empower practical use.

The award ceremony of the 3rd Smart Traffic Police Teaching Skills Innovation Competition for Public Security Colleges was held at the opening ceremony. This competition is jointly organized by the China Road Traffic Safety Association and Henan Police College. After multiple rounds of selection and expert evaluation, a total of 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, and 8 third prizes were selected for the teacher group, and 4 first prizes, 9 second prizes, and 13 third prizes were selected for the student group. Since its first held in 2024, this competition has been held for three consecutive sessions, aiming to showcase the achievements of intelligent traffic police teaching in public security colleges, build a bridge between teaching and practical experience, and cultivate new police talents who understand both theory and practical ability for the modernization of traffic governance. It is not only a positive response to the national "15th Five Year Plan" strategic deployment of "accelerating high-level technological self-reliance and cultivating new quality productivity", but also a specific action to implement the requirements of "developing police through science and technology" and serve the modernization development of public security work in the new era.

This year's China International Import and Export Fair has specially set up a new product release section to provide a display platform for independent research and development achievements in the forefront of the industry.
