Users can choose compact or modular frequency converters according to the requirements of the machine tool model. Compact frequency converters provide 2-axis, 3-axis, or 4-axis plus spindle drive power, with a power of up to 15 kW. Modular frequency converters offer multiple power modules for feed axes and spindles, with power ranges from 22 kW to 125 kW. Modular frequency converters support a maximum of 13 axes plus one main axis, with a maximum power of up to 40 kW for machine tools.

Heidenhain's frequency converter can connect feed motors ranging from 0.4 Nm to 120 Nm and spindle motors ranging from 5.5 kW to 40 kW.
