[1] The minimum motion increment is not equivalent to resolution. It refers to the minimum amount that a motion system can move continuously and stably. Generally speaking, the system resolution is much smaller than the minimum motion increment. Considering the influence of transmission structure and encoder on system error, the minimum motion increment of linear motor displacement platform is closer to the resolution compared to stepper motor displacement platform.
[2] Accuracy and repeatability are easily confused concepts. Generally, using shooting description can easily distinguish between these two concepts.
[3] Only when the parameters such as straightness, parallelism, pitch, and yaw meet the high level requirements, can the accuracy and repeatability of the motion system reach a high level of precision. That is to say, customers generally only need to consider whether the accuracy and repeatability of positioning meet the application requirements in order to choose a satisfactory displacement platform. When customers have higher requirements for platform movement, non axial parameters need to be considered.
*The difference between typical values and guaranteed values can be found in the technical guidelines
