The fire rescue air cushion is usually packaged and stored in a fiberglass storage cylinder, installed on the raft frame on the ship's side, and can be directly thrown into the water. The life raft can be automatically inflated and formed for people in distress to ride on. If the ship sinks too quickly and there is no time to throw the raft into the water, when the ship sinks to a certain depth underwater, the static water pressure release device on the raft frame will automatically disengage and release the life raft. The life raft will float to the surface and automatically inflate and form.
SD48M2 series fire rescue air cushion: suitable for emergency rescue use on Class I navigation vessels. Its performance meets the requirements of the 1996 Amendment to the 1974 Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea. The experiment shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of IMO MSC. 81 (70) "Life saving Equipment Testing". And it has obtained type approval from China Classification Society (CCS).
