Ammonia nitrogen mainly comes from the microbial decomposition products of proteins in animals and plants. Due to its toxicity, ammonia nitrogen testing is usually required in aquaculture. Ammonia nitrogen in river water or reservoirs mainly comes from agricultural or civilian pollution. Therefore, ammonia nitrogen measurement is also commonly carried out in lakes, river water, drinking water, boiler inlet water, sewage, and industrial wastewater.

The ideal resolution is generally not lower than 0.1mg/L, usually only 0.5mg/L.

Based on the color change after the reaction between the reagents and the water sample, the ammonia nitrogen concentration value can be determined using an ammonia nitrogen spectrophotometer.

Built in timer - ensures that the tested water sample and ammonia nitrogen reagent react according to the internally set standard time. At the end of the timer, the instrument will automatically read the reading, ensuring the consistency of reaction time for multiple batches of measurements.
