High sensitivity plate chemiluminescence detector
Product Details
Berthold Detection Systems has been committed to developing and producing high-performance related products. The Orion II is precisely such a revolutionary microplate chemiluminescence detector. The unique design concept combined with various innovations has created OrionIi's unparalleled detection performance, flexible and diverse configuration options, and simple and convenient maintenance work. The perfect choice for microporous plate chemiluminescence detection, suitable for all Flash and Glow type chemiluminescence detection

Detector combination
The detector combination itself is equivalent to a chemiluminescence detector. It includes a photomultiplier tube, power supply, signal processing motherboard, measurement optical system, and sampler housing. This design ensures that all functions can operate in a coordinated and reliable manner without the need for adjustment. The PMT with photon counting mode ensures extremely low background signal and high linearity. The built-in safety circuit will automatically protect the detector from damage caused by strong light exposure. In addition, if the sample exceeds the measurement range, corresponding warnings will also appear.

Vibration and sample incubation
For detection that requires oscillation function, there are three modes to choose from: linear, elliptical, and cross cross. Flexible speed and amplitude settings can perfectly complement various detection methods. Heating simultaneously from the top and bottom of the microplate can ensure that the temperature inside the sample chamber remains stable within a range of up to 50 ° C (optional sample incubation function is required).

Simplify user maintenance work
The stainless steel surface of Orion II makes it very easy to clean. The reagent pipeline is the only component that requires daily maintenance. Regular rinsing can prevent microbial contamination and reagent crystallization. With proper maintenance work, these pipelines can be used continuously for several years. If pipeline replacement is required, no tools are needed. The standard attachment includes a set of spare pipelines.
Reported gene testing, including dual reporter gene testing

application

Orion II is the perfect choice for various flash and glow type chemiluminescence applications. For the detection of microporous plate samples. The application scope includes:

--Reported gene testing, including dual reporter gene testing
--ATP detection
--Cell proliferation
--Kinase activity detection
--Cell toxicity and biological substance detection
--Cell apoptosis detection
--Ca2+ion detection and detection based on jellyfish luminescent protein Aequorin
--Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (LIA)
--Cell self luminous mycoplasma contamination detection
--Detection of reactive oxygen species and other free radicals

Sample addition system
A flexible, reliable, and suitable reagent addition system is an important component of the performance of chemiluminescence detectors. Orion II uses a high-performance syringe type sample pump, which has been proven to ensure reliability at various flux levels. The unique design of the sampler combination ensures the accuracy and reliability of reagent addition, while also avoiding the obstruction of light generated by the sample. The modular design of Orion II allows for easy replacement of various components of the sampling system without the need to damage or move any other parts or modules. This sampling system is extremely flexible. Any sampling sequence can be executed, including the fastest cycle achieved by pre sampling the detection wells.
The Orion II is currently the only chemiluminescence detector in its class that can perform high-speed cycling in both row and column modes. Excellent system design minimizes the distance between the sample pump and the microplate holes, thereby minimizing system residue and saving reagents used to the greatest extent possible. Its system residual is less than 450 μ l, which is currently the lowest among all plate chemiluminescence instruments on the market.

The initial sample addition of the sample addition system
The new sampler has a more flexible and accurate initial sampling system. It can automatically or manually remove the initial sample liquid, allowing the initial sample process to be compatible with various special applications. The built-in initial sample container (optional) can be used to quickly and automatically remove the initial sample liquid used in routine instrument applications. Normally, or when it is necessary to turn off the initial sample processing control, a specially designed initial sample tray can be used to remove the initial sample liquid. The simple and effective initial sample addition process makes maintenance work more time-saving and labor-saving, and helps maintain the reagent pipeline in good condition at all times.

Connect to reagent bottle
Chemiluminescent reagent bottles can come in various shapes and sizes, and our new reagent bottle tray is designed based on this situation. It can firmly fix various reagent bottles. In addition, this design allows for the reduction of system residuals by placing the reagent bottle close to the sample pump. And the reagent bottle tray itself is also firmly fixed. This design ensures that all reagents are effectively used without waste.

Upgrades and configuration changes
The Orion II chemiluminescence detector can continuously grow according to your needs. The Orion II with basic configuration can detect glow type chemiluminescence of 96 well microplate samples. This configuration can be upgraded to 1-4 automatic reagent dispensers to complement the flash type chemiluminescence detection. In addition, OrionII can also be upgraded to detect samples from 384 well microplates.
