Oxford Instruments has launched a new handheld X-ray fluorescence spectrometer that can meet various demanding requirements for elemental analysis.
Oxford Instruments announced the launch of a robust handheld X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF) - X-MET5000, which is capable of high-precision and high reliability elemental analysis. Oxford Instruments' handheld X-ray fluorescence spectrometer is renowned worldwide, and X-MET5000 is its fourth generation product.
This new spectrometer boasts high performance and reliability, integrating Oxford Instruments' PentaFET patented detector technology to ensure rapid analysis of all elements of interest to users, and providing a lower detection limit for elements. This spectrometer is specifically designed for the strictest quality control applications, such as metal waste recycling, alloy classification and identification, as well as testing for lead content in toys and consumer products to ensure compliance with the RoHS directive. In addition, X-MET5000 can meet the needs of the mining industry and can also be used in the environmental monitoring industry to determine heavy metal content in soil.
The main advantage of X-MET5000 lies in its Light Element Treatment (LET) mode, which allows for rapid and accurate analysis of heavy metals - even if light elements such as aluminum and silicon are present in the sample, they will not affect the analysis results. However, other ordinary analyzers cannot analyze the interference caused by the presence of light elements on the final analysis results because they only use the "basic parameter (FP) method".
