ELKOSUN is a private company from Maribor, Slovenia, dedicated to the marketing and production of lighting application components based on magnetic technology.

ELKOSUN generator ballasts are based on the long-standing tradition of developing and producing magnetic ballasts, committed to meeting customers' needs for magnetic products. The changes in the magnetic market are very fast, and it is very important for ELKOSUN to adapt to these changes at the required speed. ELKOSUN has been continuously investing in the production organization of magnetic ballasts to maintain quality while making them more flexible in meeting customer needs.

ELKOSUN was founded in 2013 as a supplier of magnetic ballasts for ultraviolet lamps, mainly focusing on the tanning market. In September 2013, it acquired the OG series products from Tridonic and expanded its product portfolio to include high-quality high-power HID ballasts. In early 2014, ELKOSUN began producing its own magnetic ballasts in Maribor, Slovenia. ELKOSUN sells its products under the ELKOSUN, ELKO, or many customers' OM brands.
