2. Reverse osmosis systems have extremely high desalination capabilities, removing soluble salts, colloids, organic matter, and microorganisms from water. Reverse osmosis is the process of using sufficient pressure to separate water from a solution through a reverse osmosis membrane, which is called reverse osmosis because it is opposite in direction to natural osmosis. According to the different osmotic pressures of various solutions, reverse osmosis methods with pressures greater than the osmotic pressure can be used to achieve separation and purification.

3. There are many types of reverse osmosis membranes, which are divided into two categories based on film-forming materials: organic and inorganic. In water treatment, certain high molecular weight materials from organic materials are generally used, such as acetate fibers, aromatic polyamides, etc. Different membranes are selected according to the quality of raw water and specific conditions.

Cleaning of reverse osmosis membrane:

Regardless of whether the inlet conditions meet the inlet requirements of the reverse osmosis membrane, appropriate chemical cleaning needs to be considered when the water production of the membrane element decreases by 10%, the system pressure difference increases by 15%, or the product hydraulic conductivity rises.

Preservation and disinfection of reverse osmosis membrane:

When the reverse osmosis system is shut down for more than 3 days, the reverse osmosis membrane components in the equipment need to be properly stored and disinfected; When the machine is shut down for 3 to 5 days, it can be stored in a 1% sodium bisulfite solution. If the shutdown lasts for more than a week, consider using formalin for storage.
