Overview
AutoPrep binary high-pressure preparative chromatography refers to "high-pressure (or high-performance) liquid chromatography" with column pressures generally greater than 20 bar (or 300 psi), typically using chromatography columns with more than 2000 trays, typically in the range of 2000 to 20000. To obtain the desired trace components, the following separation methods can be used: preparative separation → semi preparative separation → analytical separation → product. To increase the amount of pure product obtained from each separation, preparative high-pressure liquid chromatography separation is usually operated under overload conditions.
