1、 Product Introduction:

The new DIL 402 Expedias Select&Supreme thermal expansion meter from Nike integrates cutting-edge technology in the field of thermal expansion measurement, designed for professional level applications in a wide range of fields. All models in the DIL Expedia series are based on the revolutionary NanoEye measurement system, reaching new heights in both measurement range and accuracy.
This instrument is the first horizontal expansion instrument on the market to support modulation force (oscillatory load), which bridges the gap between thermal expansion instruments and thermomechanical analyzers (TMA) and dynamic thermomechanical analyzers (DMA).
The Supreme version has comprehensive configuration and powerful features, while the Select version can be flexibly upgraded. These two versions are tailored for research and development, as well as specialized industrial applications.

Highest flexibility and sample efficiency
The instrument has a dual furnace structure and can simultaneously install two different furnaces, covering a wide temperature range from 180 ℃ to 2000 ℃. Another configuration plan is to equip two identical furnace bodies for alternating use, combined with a dual rod sample holder for testing in dual sample mode, which can greatly shorten the sampling cycle and improve the efficiency of instrument use.
Expedia Select/Supreme offers a wide range of configuration options: single/double furnace, manual/motor-driven furnace operation, single/double sample holder, tubular/rod-shaped sample holder, and more. The rich configuration is designed to adapt to various application scenarios.

Automatic length testing and MultiTouch
Traditional thermal expansion instruments typically use calipers to measure the original length of samples, which may increase the uncertainty of measurement results, especially for soft samples. DIL 402 Expedias can automatically measure the initial length of the sample under conditions equivalent to the test itself (contact position of the top rod, contact force) before the test begins.
For reliable thermal expansion measurement, it is crucial for the sample to have a stable placement position within the sample holder. The MultiTouch function of DIL 402 Expedias uses a unique tail type top sample operation to automatically adjust the placement position of the sample to the best.
The thermocouple position of DIL 402 Expedias can be flexibly adjusted to accommodate different sample lengths. By guiding the rod, the thermocouple can be adjusted to a suitable position that matches the length of the sample, without the need to bend the thermocouple.

If a three-way mass flow controller (MFC, optional) is used, the gas path inside the instrument is separated: the protective gas first passes through the measurement unit and then enters the sample chamber, while the blowing gas (two-way) directly enters the sample chamber, and both the protective gas and the blowing gas are discharged through the outlet of the furnace body.
The DIL 402 Expedia instrument has a vacuum sealed design and is equipped with a SiC furnace body that is very suitable for use in conjunction with QMS or FTIR through capillary tubes. During the testing process, it conducts in-depth research and analysis on impurities, additives, organic binders, and decomposition products that escape.
