Testing Principles

The instrument adopts the infrared sensor method for testing principle. The test sample is clamped between a constant temperature dry and wet chamber, and there is a certain humidity difference on both sides of the sample. Due to the existence of humidity gradient, water vapor will diffuse from the high humidity chamber to the low humidity chamber. In the low humidity chamber, water vapor is carried by the carrier gas to the infrared sensor, and an electrical signal of the same proportion will be generated when entering the sensor. By analyzing and calculating the electrical signal of the sensor, the water vapor transmittance and moisture permeability coefficient of the sample can be obtained.
