0 Introduction

On July 1, 2025, Jiangxi Province officially implemented a new version of the time of use electricity pricing policy, dividing daily electricity consumption periods into "five periods and multiple seasons", and expanding the price difference between peak and off peak periods. The fluctuation ratio of peak and off peak electricity prices reached ± 60%, and the price of deep valley electricity was reduced by 70% compared to the normal period. This adjustment has put forward higher requirements for the management of electricity costs for industrial and commercial users. 1、 Challenges in Electricity Management for Renovation Projects under New Policies

The new time of use electricity pricing mechanism in Jiangxi Province divides the whole year into five periods: peak, off peak, off peak, valley, and deep valley, and adjusts them dynamically according to the seasons. For example:

From March to November, a midday deep valley (12:00-14:00) will be added, and the low valley period will be extended to 7 hours;
January and December: Peak electricity prices are set during the evening rush hour (18:00-21:00), with an increase of 80% -1%.
