  • Structural Overview

M132557The portable electric water level gauge consists of a measuring line, a probe, a water level detector, a winding wheel, a bracket, a conductive mechanism, a handle, a leather backpack, etc. Its main characteristics are small size, light weight, cheap price, and easy portability. Compared with the KLL type electric water level gauge produced by SEBA company abroad, it is more than half the weight.

  1. Side line: Made of galvanized steel core with an outer diameter of ¢ 2.0, 7/0.25, high-density polyethylene insulation, and a breaking force of not less than 25 kilograms, the operating temperature is -55 ℃~+55 ℃, and the test voltage is 1000V. The side line is marked with half the spacing of the standard steel tape, and an aluminum tag is pressed on the side line with a meter number mark. The remaining length within the meter is measured with a steel tape when measuring the water level.
  2. Probe: Made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the probe measuring needle is insulated with glass powder, sealed with epoxy resin, and protected with a horseshoe shaped shield. This not only prevents the probe from touching the wellbore, but also avoids false alarms when the probe does not touch the water surface due to severe water damage in the hole. It has excellent water repellent function. The probe has a diameter of ¢ 14 millimeters and can measure water levels in more than 3/4 of various measuring water pipes.
  3. The tape measure wheel, bracket, etc. are made of epoxy glass fiber cloth board, insulation materials such as Mc nylon, etc. The side wire conductive circuit is led out by a steel ball type conductive plate at the shaft end and connected to a water level detector. The tape measure wheel can simultaneously detect the water level when retracting the side wire.
  4. The high-sensitivity water level detector is composed of a CMOS integrated circuit with high input impedance and low power consumption, forming an intermittent audio oscillation detection circuit with both sound and light communication alarm functions.
  5. The instrument is equipped with a leather backpack for easy carrying.

  • Instructions for use
  1. Insert the 3.5mm unused grounding wire into the socket of the water level detector. At this time, the green LED lights up, indicating that the power is connected. Then touch the probe inside the probe with the wiring clip on the other end of the unused grounding wire. The water level detector should emit intermittent sound, and the red LED should also flash at the same time, indicating that the instrument is working properly. Then clamp the wiring clip on the drilling well pipe or ground it through the grounding plate.
  2. Gradually insert the probe and measuring line handle into the hole to drive the winding wheel. When the probe contacts the groundwater surface, the water level detector horn emits intermittent sound, and the red LED also flashes. Move the measuring line up and down to accurately determine the water level and make temporary markings.
  3. Lift up the sideline and find the nearest meter as the scale mark. Then use a steel ruler to measure the meter scale mark and the remaining length between it and the temporary water level mark. Add the meter mark to the remaining length to obtain the water level depth value.
  4. After measuring the water level, retract the main side wire of the probe, unplug the ¢ 3.5 plug of the water level detector, the green LED will turn off, indicating that the power is turned off, and retract the grounding wire clamp.
  • Precautions
  1. During the measurement of the lateral line, it should be avoided to scrape or scratch the sharp parts of the well casing during the day to avoid damaging the insulation layer of the measurement line.
  2. The probe part of the probe should be kept clean regularly, and it should be wiped clean in a timely manner after being contaminated by oil and dirt in the hole to maintain good insulation performance of the probe.
  3. When the battery voltage of the water level detector is lower than 5V, the sound of the water level detector becomes smaller, and the green light-emitting diode also flashes noticeably at the same time, indicating an increase in battery resistance and insufficient voltage. The battery should be replaced in a timely manner.
  4. When not in use for a long time, the battery should be removed to prevent leakage and corrosion of the instrument.
