SITEMA was founded in 1979 and is a company dedicated to the research and production of round bar locks and linear brakes. SITEMA is an important partner in the mechanical manufacturing industry and is highly favored. Locking and fixing axial loads and ensuring safety is our professional field, and we have been in a global position in this field for many years with SITEMA brand locks.
As early as 1979, SITEMA had already developed a system that directly transmitted the high braking force of hydraulic elevators to the piston rod through friction. This new technology has laid the foundation for the continuous improvement and diversification of lock products. Today, SITEMA develops and produces hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic locking units for various application fields
Our success is built on the highest requirements for product quality. For SITEMA, it is an uncompromising commitment that safety components must operate reliably. The SITEMA lock is a highly locking device certified by European regulatory authorities. SITEMA is certified by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and has an efficient management system that meets standards while ensuring the reliability and quality of internal processes.
Main products: safety protectors, safety brakes, locking devices, safety locks, accessories
Safety protector
In places where it is necessary to prevent suspended heavy objects from suddenly falling or accidentally sinking, fall protection devices are used. The product series K, KR, KRP are suitable for medium, heavy, and ultra heavy loads
This series is very safe and has been certified for press machines (such as ISO 16092)
Single load direction
Release the lock through hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. This will create a certain air gap, allowing the round rod to slide frictionlessly.
When the lifting piston is no longer under pressure, the anti fall protector takes effect. Then the gripper is pressed tightly against the circular rod under the action of the spring, thereby locking the load.
When the circular rod moves in the direction of the load, a locking force is generated. The gripper is pulled into the locking position by the automatically enhanced static friction on the circular rod
The load continues to increase, and as long as the static friction force is not reached, the circular rod is not affected by the load and remains in its original position

Product series KSP
Suitable for light to medium loads
This series is very safe and has been certified for press machines (such as ISO 16092)
Single load direction
Release the lock through pneumatic pressure. This will create a certain air gap, allowing the circular rod to slide frictionlessly to cut off pressure. When the tension spring presses the clamping sleeve into the cone of the clamping ring, an initial frictional force (tight fitting state) is generated between the circular rod and the clamping sleeve.
If the circular rod is under force at this time, the locking system will automatically strengthen and tighten. As long as the applied force does not exceed the allowable load M, the movement of the circular rod will be very weak, and the retraction path will not exceed 0.5 mm. Because the preload force V of the overload spring is slightly greater than M, the clamping ring remains in its initial position.
When the preload force V of the overload spring is exceeded, the clamping sleeve, clamping ring, and annular piston assembly move together with the circular rod until it reaches the lower stop block

locking device
The locking device is mainly a functional locking structure that can accurately locate and lock, but can also be used to prevent accidental movement
Product series KFH, KFP, KB
A diverse range of standard products to meet special applications such as outdoor use, piston cylinders, and machining machines
Provide product types certified by the German Work Injury Insurance Industry Association (DGUV) and Lloyd's Inspection GmbH in the UK
Dual load direction
Release the lock through hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. This will create a certain air gap, allowing the round rod to slide frictionlessly.
According to different series, the locking force is generated by pressure or spring, and strengthened by a conical surface.
The SITEMA locking device can absorb force in two directions.
When overloaded, the round rod will slip, which usually does not cause damage. However, repeated overloading should be avoided as wear and tear cannot be ruled out.
Regardless of the load state, it can be released by applying release pressure.

The safety lock has a compact structure and high safety
The principle of structural design makes the product specifications very compact. Very suitable for pure static locking protection
Product series KRG
Suitable for static or slowly moving loads
Compact design structure
Single load direction
In the released state, the annular piston uses hydraulic or pneumatic pressure to hold the clamping sleeve loose against the force of the disc spring, allowing the circular rod to move freely
When cutting off the pressure, the disc spring presses the clamping sleeve into the cone of the housing, thereby generating initial friction between the round rod and the clamping sleeve (in a tight state).
At this time, the round rod is under load, and the locking system will automatically strengthen and tighten. At this point, the movement of the circular rod is very small, and even if the equipment specifications are large, it will not exceed the maximum value of 2 mm (as long as it does not exceed the allowable load)
Even when overloaded, the round rod will not slip off. Therefore, a load exceeding twice the allowable load may result in damage.
To release the lock, the circular rod needs to be moved upwards, and release pressure should also be applied.
All standard SITEMA safety locks have threaded holes at the bottom for easy installation onto the rack. But sometimes, due to the inability to fix with screws from below, it is often necessary to use installation flanges.

Electronic pneumatic module EPM
The electronic pneumatic module EPM is the interface between the power/electrical control and the pneumatic SITEMA lock. With the help of EPM, all pneumatic SITEMA locks with a standard volume of 220 cm ³ or less can be controlled pneumatically. In addition, EPM can also control multiple locking units in parallel.
Running EPM requires a 24 VDC power supply and switch voltage. The initial pressure at which the pneumatic lock is opened or kept open is controlled by a control signal. Once the power is cut off or the input signal is cut off, the lock will automatically release pressure, thereby locking the load.
Mechanical valve release device MVA
Ensure the safety of chain breakage with a complete pneumatic SITEMA lock
If it is necessary to ensure the safety of lifting equipment (such as chains) when they break in applications, our mechanical fall protection device KRM is a wise choice for many users. Its advantage lies in immediately locking the load when the lifting device breaks. Without the need for additional sensors to detect chain breakage. However, if the lifting device does not break, KRM cannot activate the locking structure at any position (such as for maintenance purposes).
In this regard, we offer a mechanical valve release device MVA to meet your needs. It can replace the mechanical fall protection device KRM installed between lifting equipment and moving loads. Once MVA detects a breakage in the lifting device, it will immediately activate the built-in valve, and the downstream pneumatic SITEMA lock will immediately exhaust, thereby firmly locking the load. During this process, MVA communicates directly with the locking device without the need for a machine controller, which will not cause delays.
