Modular and scalable energy analyzer

UMG 800 records all necessary energy data in a space saving and cost-effective manner. From measuring individual feeders to analyzing power quality, and then establishing a complete measurement system - UMG 800 can be customized according to your requirements (such as in data centers, production plants, or distribution substations).

Addressing challenges through flexibility

The modular UMG 800 energy analyzer provides flexibility and efficiency.

You can equip the basic equipment with six different modules to customize according to the company's needs. Therefore, energy analyzers not only have scalability, but also represent an investment in the future. This is because the new module can meet the new measurement requirements without the need to replace the measurement technology. UMG 800 records all necessary energy data in a space saving and cost-effective manner. From individual measurements and power quality analysis to setting up the entire measurement system, UMG 800 can be used wherever you need it.

Compact and space saving

The small size of the two subunits of UMG 800, with the expansion of its capabilities and the 800-CT8-LP module providing eight current measurement inputs in one subunit, makes it ideal for installation in small areas and spaces. This means that current measurement can be carried out in situations where space is an important factor, such as in junction boxes or during factory renovations.

Compact energy analyzer

UMG 103-CBM is a universal measuring device for DIN rail installation in low-voltage distribution systems, used to measure and inspect electrical characteristics in energy distribution systems. It measures harmonics up to the 40th harmonic current.

Harmonic currents are caused by devices with nonlinear characteristics, such as saturated transformers, energy-saving lamps, frequency converters, and power electronic devices. They add extra current to the power grid and may affect or even damage equipment. These power grid distortions can be detected and recorded using a power quality analyzer.

Modbus interface

Many UMG measuring devices have RS-485 interfaces with Modbus RTU protocol, enabling cost-effective networking. Its characteristics are simple topology structure and insensitivity to EMC interference. The communication between the transmitter and receiver is conducted through shielded twisted pair cables

Multi functional energy analyzer

Compact and economical modular DIN rail measuring device with residual current measurement. Continuous monitoring of residual current enables the detection of hazardous fault currents in the early stages, thereby avoiding damage to the system and production downtime.

DIN rail measuring device with residual current detection

The UMG 806 energy analyzer provides the right solution for different needs. Powerful basic devices are highly suitable for cost oriented applications and feature Modbus RTUs. It provides the ability to measure and record residual current in other functions. By continuously monitoring residual current, dangerous residual current can be detected in the early stages and system damage, including production shutdowns, can be avoided. The extension of Umg806 is a possible Ethernet communication module.

An additional advantage is the compact design of the measuring device and modules. This allows for optimal utilization of the typically scarce space available in the distribution panel cabinet.

UMG 806-LP

UMG 806-lp provides measurement input for the connection of low-power converters. The characteristic of these converters is the extremely low secondary side output voltage. Due to the low-level signal on the transformer cable, the secondary side of the transformer must not be short circuited during open circuit operation. This improves the security during the installation process and also makes integration easier. In addition, low-power transformers are often more cost-effective than many traditional types of transformers, making them a more cost-effective alternative.

UMG 806

UMG 806 is an ideal scenario where traditional transformers have already been installed in the system. It can be seamlessly integrated into existing measurement infrastructure.
