Air respirator is an important self-sufficient open respiratory protection equipment, which is widely used in fire protection, chemical industry, shipping, petroleum, smelting, warehouse, laboratory, mine and other departments. It is particularly suitable for areas that produce harmful gases or low oxygen content, such as fires, toxic gas leaks, volatile liquid leaks, and enclosed spaces. It has the characteristics of light weight, small size, and is easy to carry and use.
When using an air respirator, the following key points should be noted to ensure safe and effective use:
Comprehensive inspection before use:
Check if the face mask is clear and intact, without scratches or cracks, the straps are intact, and the system is complete.
Check the pressure of the gas cylinder to ensure that the pressure gauge reading is normal. If equipped with a cylinder valve without a gauge or a self-locking cylinder valve, the cylinder valve should be opened to observe the reading of the high-pressure gauge.
Check whether each component is missing, whether the joints, pipelines, and air valves are complete, and whether the gas supply system, residual gas alarm device, airtightness, and gas source pressure values are normal.
Proper wearing and adjustment:
Place the bottom of the gas cylinder close to yourself, with the end with a pressure gauge facing outward, and carry it on your shoulder. Adjust the shoulder and waist straps to a comfortable position.
Put on the face mask, open the head net of the mask, wear it from top to bottom, and hold the air inlet of the mask with your hand to check the airtightness by inhaling.
Precautions during operation:
After connecting the gas supply valve, turn on the gas cylinder switch and connect the supply valve to the face mask. Take several breaths and feel comfortable before entering the operating area.
During use, pay attention to the prompts of the residual gas alarm device and evacuate or replace the gas cylinder in a timely manner.
Handling after use:
After use, the cylinder handwheel should be tightly closed first, and then the demand valve starting rod should be pressed to release the high-pressure gas inside the pipe, and then the relevant connection parts should be disconnected in sequence.
