With the rapid development of the logistics and transportation industry, the demand for urban roads and bridges is increasing day by day. However, traffic accidents caused by excessively high vehicles mistakenly entering height restricted areas are frequent, ranging from causing traffic congestion to major losses such as bridge collapse and casualties. According to statistics, the proportion of road accidents caused by ultra-high vehicles in China exceeds 15% annually, and traditional prevention methods are no longer sufficient to meet the needs of modern traffic management.

Customer pain point: limitations of traditional solutions

Currently, road superelevation detection mainly relies on methods such as elevated structures, infrared radiation, or video surveillance, but all of them have obvious shortcomings:

Restricted elevated road: Rigid interception can easily cause secondary collisions, resulting in vehicle damage and road congestion, and cannot be warned in advance;

Infrared radiation: severely affected by environmental light, rain and fog interference, with a high false alarm rate, making it difficult to adapt to complex weather conditions;

Video surveillance: relying on manual recognition, slow response speed, and significantly reduced recognition rate at night or in low light environments.

The customer urgently needs a proactive warning, precise and reliable, zero contact solution to achieve the transition from "passive interception" to "active prevention and control".

Solution: Innovation breakthrough of second-generation LiDAR

In response to the above security difficulties, Feitian Optoelectronics has launched the second-generation laser radar ultra-high detector, which is based on millimeter level accuracy and intelligent algorithms, and has built a full process prevention and control system of "detection warning capture linkage": by installing the laser detection equipment on one side of the road, setting up an "invisible" laser warning line perpendicular to the road surface according to the limited height, it realizes lane based ultra-high detection and warning for passing vehicles, and links with corresponding lane checkpoint cameras for capture and evidence collection. At the same time, it links with on-site LED guidance screens, sound and light alarm signals and other equipment to warn and safely guide ultra-high vehicles.

1、 Accurate and reliable detection of detectors

The distance resolution is as high as 1.5 centimeters, which can accurately identify the height of a certain vehicle and effectively reduce false alarms and omissions. With a detection frequency of 500Hz, it can quickly capture vehicles passing at high speed and trigger alarms without delay.

IP67 protection, dustproof and able to withstand brief immersion, not afraid of wind and rain erosion. An average working time (MTBF) of over 120000 hours means lower maintenance costs and longer service cycles.

It can support independent detection area settings for up to 8 lanes and trigger corresponding signals to achieve precise control of different lanes. The alarm sensitivity can be adjusted to 10 levels, and the alarm time can be set from 1 to 30 seconds. It can be optimized according to the on-site traffic flow and weather conditions.
