Precautions for selecting DJYVP computer cables
Date: 2025-04-27Read: 8
DJYVP is a common computer cable model, mainly used for automation control systems, instrument connections, and other applications.
When selecting DJYVP computer cables, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as usage environment, electrical performance, and shielding requirements to ensure the stability and reliability of signal transmission. The following are the main considerations when making a purchase:
1. Confirm cable specifications and parameters
(1) Conductor specifications
Conductor material: Oxygen free copper (OFC) is usually used to ensure low resistance and high conductivity.
Conductor cross-sectional area: Common types include 0.5mm ², 0.75mm ², 1.0mm ², 1.5mm ², etc., which need to be selected according to the transmission distance and current load.
Conductor structure: Generally, multiple strands of thin copper wire are twisted together to improve flexibility.
(2) Insulation and sheath materials
Insulation layer: usually made of polyethylene (PE), which has good electrical insulation properties.
Sheath layer: Generally made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it is necessary to choose whether it is oil resistant and flame-retardant (such as DJYVP-R) according to the usage environment.
(3) Shielding method
Copper wire braided shielding (P): Strong anti-interference ability, suitable for strong electromagnetic interference environments.
Aluminum foil shielding (P3): suitable for high-frequency signal transmission, but with low mechanical strength.
Composite shielding (P3+P): Double shielding of aluminum foil and copper mesh, with better anti-interference performance.
(4) Number of line pairs
Common specifications include 1 pair, 2 pairs, 4 pairs, and 8 pairs, which need to be selected according to the device interface requirements.
2. Consider the usage environment
(1) Temperature range
Standard type: -40 ℃~70 ℃ (suitable for general industrial environments).
High temperature resistant type: requires the use of special materials (such as fluoroplastic insulation).
(2) Anti interference requirements
Strong electromagnetic interference (such as near frequency converters): It is recommended to choose copper mesh braided shielding (P) or composite shielding (P3+P).
High frequency signal transmission: It is recommended to choose aluminum foil shielding (P3) to reduce signal attenuation.
(3) Mechanical protection requirements
Oil resistant and corrosion-resistant: Choose oil resistant PVC sheath or polyurethane (PU) sheath.
Tensile and bending resistance: If frequent movement is required, choose high flexibility cables (such as DJYVP-R).
3. Brand and Certification
Choose a reputable manufacturer: Ensure compliance with GB/T 9330 (national standard) or IEC 60227 (international standard).
Certification requirements: such as CE certification, UL certification, RoHS environmental certification, etc., to ensure safety and reliability.
4. Installation precautions
Avoid parallel connection with strong electrical cables to prevent electromagnetic interference.
The shielding layer must be grounded at one end to avoid the formation of ground loop interference.
Bending radius ≥ 10 times the outer diameter of the cable to prevent damage to the internal core.
5. Common alternative models
If DJYVP does not meet the requirements, the following alternative models can be considered:
DJYPVP: Polyethylene insulation+Copper mesh shielding+Polyvinyl chloride sheath
DJYVRP: Oil resistant computer cable
RS485 cable (such as DJYVP-2 × 2 × 0.5): suitable for industrial communication bus
