Many customers are not sure what kind of explosion-proof lamp they need when choosing, and some do not even know how much wattage or where it will be used, which makes it difficult for us to provide customers with a quotation. The selection, installation, use, and maintenance of explosion-proof lamps are all crucial to ensuring their long-term safety, reliability, and efficient operation, and must be given full attention.
1、 Explosion proof lamp selection:
1.1 The selection personnel must understand the basic working principle of explosion-proof lamps and be familiar with explosion-proof signs.
1.2 Accurately select the explosion-proof category, type, level, and temperature group of the lighting fixtures based on the level of explosive hazardous areas.
1.3 Understand the environmental conditions and work requirements, and choose explosion-proof lamps with various functions reasonably. For example, the enclosure protection level of explosion-proof lamps used outdoors should be at least IP43 or above. In places where color identification is required, explosion-proof lamps such as high-pressure mercury lamps and high-pressure sodium lamps cannot be used because these two light sources have poor color rendering.
1.4 Read the product manual in detail to understand the product's performance, precautions, and limitations, and to understand the content of all product logos. If there is an "x" symbol after the explosion-proof certificate number, it indicates that the lamp has a specific applicable location. The product manual and nameplate should be consulted to clarify the requirements of the applicable location.

2、 Explosion proof lamp installation:
2.1 Installation personnel must undergo professional training.
2.2 Read the product manual carefully and clarify the meaning of all product logo content.
2.3 Strictly install explosion-proof lamps in accordance with the requirements specified in the product manual. For example, some lighting fixtures have installation positions that installation personnel must strictly follow. Some lighting fixtures have temperature markings at the cable entry points, and installation personnel must use high-temperature resistant cables and wires.

3、 Explosion proof lamp usage:
3.1 Users should understand the performance of explosion-proof lamps, and if any abnormal phenomena are found, they should cut off the power and report for repair. Non dedicated maintenance personnel are not allowed to carry out repairs without authorization.
3.2 The user of portable explosion-proof lamps should carefully read the user manual, clarify the usage location and product performance, and strictly use the lamps according to the usage requirements. The battery should be replaced or charged in a timely manner after use. If it is not used for a long time, the battery should be removed to avoid corrosion of the lamp. It is strictly prohibited to turn on lighting fixtures, replace batteries or light sources in explosive hazardous areas.

4、 Explosion proof lamp maintenance:
Explosion proof lighting fixtures should be regularly maintained and repaired in a timely manner during use.
4.1 Maintenance and repair personnel need to undergo job training to understand the performance of lighting fixtures and clarify usage requirements. Maintenance personnel must possess professional knowledge and be familiar with the structure of lighting products.
4.2 Regularly eliminate dust and dirt on the outer shell of explosion-proof lamps to improve their light efficiency and heat dissipation performance. The cleaning method can be based on the protective ability of the lamp housing, using water spray (above the marked shade on the lamp) or wiping with a damp cloth. When spraying water for cleaning, the power should be cut off, and it is strictly prohibited to clean the plastic shell (transparent parts) of the lamp with a dry cloth to prevent static electricity.
4.3 Check if the plastic casing (transparent part) of the lighting fixture has severe discoloration. If the discoloration is severe, it indicates that the plastic has aged. Check whether there are any traces of foreign object impact on the transparent parts, and whether the protective net is loose, detached, corroded, etc. If any, it should be stopped from use and repaired and replaced in a timely manner.
4.4 If the light source is damaged, the lights should be turned off in a timely manner and replacement should be notified to avoid the long-term abnormal state of electrical components such as ballasts due to the inability to start the light source.
4.5 If there is water accumulation in the lamp chamber of lamps used in humid environments, it should be promptly removed, and sealing components should be replaced to ensure the protective performance of the housing.
4.6 When opening the lampshade, follow the warning signs and disconnect the power before opening the cover.
4.7 After opening the cover, it is necessary to check whether the explosion-proof joint surface is intact, whether the rubber seal has hardened or become sticky, whether the wire insulation layer has turned green and carbonized, and whether the insulation parts and electrical components have deformation and burn marks. If these problems are found, they should be repaired and replaced in a timely manner.
The model, specifications, dimensions, and performance of the light source, components, and electrical components after repair and replacement should be consistent with those before repair and replacement.
Before closing the cover, use a damp cloth (not too wet) to gently wipe the return light and transparent parts of the lamp to improve the light efficiency of the lamp. A thin layer of 204-1 displacement type anti rust oil should be applied on the explosion-proof joint surface. When closing the cover, attention should be paid to whether the sealing ring plays a sealing role in its original position.
The sealed part of the lighting fixture should not be frequently disassembled and opened.
