The gas field is divided into three areas: Zone 0, Zone 1, and Zone 2:

	A place where explosive mixtures in explosive environments appear continuously or exist for a long time in the form of gas, vapor, or mist.
	Places where explosive mixtures in the form of gas, vapor, or mist may occur in explosive environments during normal operation. Zone 1 is a typical application area for explosion-proof electrical equipment.
	During normal operation, explosive mixtures in the form of gas, vapor, or mist are unlikely to occur in explosive environments, and if they do occur, they are only occasional and short-lived places. Usually, 'short duration' refers to a duration of no more than 2 hours.

Dust areas are divided into three zones: Zone 20, Zone 21, and Zone 22:

	Places and containers where combustible dust continuously or frequently occurs during normal operation, and its quantity is sufficient to form a mixture of combustible dust and air and/or may form uncontrollable and extremely thick dust layers.
	During normal operation, there may be places where the amount of dust is sufficient to form a combustible mixture of dust and air but not classified as Zone 20. This area includes places directly adjacent to the charging or discharging of dust, places with dust layers, and places where combustible dust and air mixtures with combustible concentrations may occur under normal operating conditions.
	Places where combustible dust clouds occasionally appear and only exist for a short period of time under abnormal conditions, or where combustible dust occasionally accumulates or there may be a dust layer that produces a combustible dust air mixture but is not classified as Zone 21. If it cannot be guaranteed to eliminate the accumulation of combustible dust or dust layers, it should be divided into Zone 21.
