The product has a development history of over 25 years for all-weather rain and snow measurement and all-weather precipitation monitoring. Both the Norwegian Institute of Meteorology and the Norwegian Institute of Geological Engineering participated in the collaboration during the instrument design process.
The standard T-200B all-weather rain and snow gauge has a measurement range of 600 mm and is equipped with a single vibrating wire weighing sensor. The instrument can report real-time precipitation intensity at any time period, making it easy to match with automatic data acquisition units.
The instrument has a protective casing with an opening area of 200 cm2Compliant with WMO standards. There is a container inside for collecting precipitation. The total precipitation is measured by a vibrating wire weighing sensor. The instrument and windproof cover are installed and fixed together on the base.
