EDI membrane stack analysis diagram

Product Details

EDI cleverly combines electrodialysis and ion exchange technology, using high voltage at both ends to move charged ions in water, and cooperating with ion exchange resin and selective resin membrane to accelerate ion movement and removal, thus achieving the goal of water purification. In the EDI desalination process, ions are removed through ion exchange membranes under the action of an electric field. At the same time, water molecules generate hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions under the action of an electric field, which continuously regenerate the ion exchange resin to maintain its state.

EDI ultra pure water equipment ultra pure water manufacturing history process stage one: pretreatment filter ->cation bed ->anion bed ->mixed bed stage two: pretreatment filter ->reverse osmosis ->mixed bed current stage: pretreatment filter ->reverse osmosis ->EDI (no acid or alkali required)

In recent decades, mixed bed ion exchange technology (D) has been the standard process for preparing ultrapure water. Due to the need for periodic regeneration and the consumption of a large amount of chemicals (acid-base) and industrial pure water during the regeneration process, which causes certain environmental problems, it is necessary to develop an acid-base free ultrapure water system. Because traditional ion exchange is increasingly unable to meet the needs of modern industry and environmental protection, EDI technology combining membranes, resins, and electrochemical principles has become a revolution in water treatment technology. The regeneration of its ion exchange resin uses electrical energy instead of acid and alkali, which better meets the environmental requirements of today's world.
