On trak one-dimensional PSD position sensor - silicon-based position sensor PSD is a photoelectric device that converts incident light spots into continuous position data, capable of simultaneously detecting position and light intensity. Very suitable for non-contact measurement of position, motion, distance, and vibration, this device is a silicon-based detector that can provide analog output proportional to the position of the light spot on the detector's active area. The continuous analog output of this silicon-based detector has many advantages over discrete components, including excellent resolution, fast response, superior positional linearity (applicable to various light intensities), and simpler operating circuits. On Trak's 1L series is a one-dimensional PSD that can detect light spots moving on its surface in one-dimensional space, operating based on the principle of transverse effect photodiodes. It is an analog device, therefore displaying excellent positional resolution. The resolution is determined by the signal-to-noise ratio of the system. The 1L series operates in bias mode. Typical applications include distance and height measurement, alignment, position and motion measurement, and vibration research.
