Tongpai Biotech provides (animal model of digestive system diseases):

high-fat diet/STZ induced diabetes model

Type 2 diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, insulin resistance and insulin deficiency. It is highly valuable to develop stable experimental animal models in order to further elucidate the pathological characteristics of this complex disease, search for better treatment methods and new prevention strategies. The rat model fed with high-fat diet and injected with streptozotocin (HFD/STZ) is a very stable rodent model of type 2 diabetes.

Insulin resistance isOne of the important characteristics of type 2 diabetes. At the same time, large doses of streptozotocin (STZ) are widely used to induce type 1 diabetes in mice. However, low-dose STZ can cause slight impairment of insulin secretion, which is similar to the characteristics of the late stage of human type 2 diabetes. Based on the above characteristics, researchers have begun to develop a new diabetes model by combining diet (high fat or high fructose diet) and STZ treatment.

Firstly, feeding rats with the aforementioned special diet initially leads to hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance. Subsequently, low-dose treatment was administered to the ratsSTZ injection leads to pancreatic beta cell damage and hyperglycemia. A rodent diabetes model that is very similar to human type 2 diabetes is obtained. Compared with other models, this model is cheaper and easier to operate. Therefore, it is very helpful to study and evaluate potential therapeutic drugs for type 2 diabetes.

The testing methods provided by Tongpai Biotechnology are as follows:

Weight monitoringOrganizational pathological evaluation, blood glucose level detection, food/water intake detection, fasting blood glucose concentration detection, serum insulin level detection, biomarker detection.

Common issues in cell culture:

1. How many stable passages can 661w cell lines be passaged?

2. How often do JEG3 cells divide?

3. Is C2C12 mouse cardiomyocytes easy to maintain?

4. Do SH-SY5Y cells grow slowly?

5. During the cryopreservation process of NK92MI cells, centrifugation is also involved, and it is not advisable to blow and scatter them too much. Is the entire cell mass frozen?
