　　1、 Exhibition Overview

The 16th Smart City and Smart Economy Expo (referred to as the "Smart Expo") will be held from September 11 to 13, 2026 at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center (No. 181 Huizhan Road, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province) in China.

The Smart City and Smart Economy Expo was founded in 2011 and is the only exhibition hosted by the Ningbo Municipal Government. It has been successfully held for 15 consecutive sessions in Ningbo and has become an important platform for showcasing, exchanging and cooperating in the fields of smart economy development and smart city construction at home and abroad. The exhibition attracted nearly 4000 (times) enterprises and institutions in the field of digital economy to participate in the exhibition. More than 2000 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs, including Nobel Prize winners in Physics, Turing Prize winners, academicians of the CAS Member, and CAE Member, have attended various activities of the exhibition. Over the years, the exhibition has received nearly 600000 visitors and attracted an average of over 500 mainstream media outlets from home and abroad to pay attention and report on the event each year, forming a wide range of industry influence and popularity.

2、 Exhibition theme and background

2026 is the starting year of the 15th Five Year Plan and a crucial window for China to deepen the promotion of the "Artificial Intelligence+" initiative and accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces. This year's Smart World Expo will closely follow the national "15th Five Year Plan" layout, closely track the trends and requirements of "artificial intelligence+", new scene cultivation and opening up, and future industrial development.

The theme of this exhibition is "AI Intelligence Transformation, Co creating the Future", and some exhibition materials also use the theme of "AI Empowerment, Digital Intelligence towards Innovation". The exhibition will extensively gather the essential resources of emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence, as well as their vivid practices in empowering new industrialization and urban digitization, and deeply promote the ecological exchange, cooperation, and high-quality development of the digital economy industry.

The 15th Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo will be held in Ningbo from September 5th to 7th, 2025, with a total planned area of approximately 35000 square meters. It will feature six themed exhibition halls, including AI Navigation, AI+Manufacturing, Smart Scenarios, Smart Ecology, Smart Energy, and AI+Magneto Optical Industry Chain Ecological Hall. More than 400 units will participate in the exhibition, focusing on the "technology products scene applications ecological synergy" of artificial intelligence, showcasing the latest technology products and application practices in the fields of artificial intelligence and real number integration.
