PDFM 6.1 flowmeter for Pulsar Process
The PDFM6.1 from Pulsar Process is a portable clip on Doppler flowmeter launched by PulsarMeasurement in the UK. Its core advantage is non-invasive installation and adaptability to complex fluids containing suspended solids/bubbles. It can quickly complete flow measurement and data recording without stopping the machine, and is widely used in sewage, slurry, chemical and other scenarios.

Whether it is due to the lack of previous flow measurement or the need to validate the performance of existing systems, the PDFM6.1 portable Doppler flowmeter can provide fast, accurate, and non-invasive flow measurement for challenging media and industrial environments. There is no other clamp type flowmeter that is easier to install and operate than it.
With advanced signal processing technology, improved accuracy and interference recognition capabilities, low-power mode to extend battery life, and sturdy IP67 extruded aluminum casing, PDFM6.1 is the ideal choice for your next instant or long-term complex flow measurement application. No need to shut down.
Pulsar Process's PDFM6.1 and its clamped Doppler technology. By measuring the frequency offset of the ultrasonic echo reflected from the outside of the pipeline, the meter can determine the velocity without coming into contact with the medium. As long as there are solids or bubbles, the flow rate of any fluid can be measured. This means that PDFM6.1 is highly suitable for complex applications such as municipal and industrial wastewater, sludge, production water, pulp, viscous liquids, pulp raw materials, and abrasives.
Core strengths
Non invasive installation: clamped on the outside of the pipeline, no need for openings/interruptions, compatible with pipe diameters of 12.7mm-4.6m, installation only takes a few minutes.
Complex fluid adaptation: specifically designed for fluids containing solids/bubbles (such as sewage, mud, slurry, and aerated liquids), signal processing can filter out interference to ensure measurement stability.
Flexible data management: Supports custom recording intervals of 10s-1h, data can be exported via USB-C, and is compatible with GreylineLG2 software for analysis and report generation.
High reliability: IP67Protection and low-power mode meet long-term monitoring needs, suitable for rapid on-site detection and system verification.

Typical application scenarios
Municipal: Verification of inflow/outflow and rainwater pipe network flow in sewage treatment plants;
Industry: slurry/abrasive transportation, chemical gas containing liquids, mining tailings;
Operations and Maintenance: Calibration of existing flow meters, temporary flow monitoring, and leak detection.
Each PDFM6.1 comes with a sturdy Pelican backpack, clamp sensors, and stainless steel
Market feedback and advantages
User evaluation: Known for its "easy installation, accurate measurement, and strong adaptability", it is particularly suitable for dirty media scenarios that traditional flow meters cannot cope with.
Brand reputation: Pulsar Process Measurement was established in 1997, focusing on ultrasonic measurement technology. Its products are widely used in water, wastewater, and industrial fields.
Cost effectiveness: Although the price varies depending on the configuration (such as the basic model costing about ¥ 15000 and the high-end model costing up to ¥ 24600), its long-term stability and low maintenance costs save users comprehensive expenses. Installation kit. Can be used for projects that do not require flow meters, temporarily replacing faulty installed flow meters, or verifying the output of existing flow meters.
