Overview

The structural length standard for ammonia specific shut-off valves shall comply with GB/T 12221, and the flange connection end shall comply with GB/T9113 and HG/T20592 standards. The valve cover is equipped with an upper sealing structure (reverse seal), and the valve disc and stem of the ammonia shut-off valve are connected by pins, balls, valve disc covers, etc., with locking structures (such as spring rings, screw plugs, etc.) or spot welding to prevent detachment. The ammonia shut-off valve should be kept flexible in rotation when opening and closing to reduce wear on the sealing packing.

Packing and stuffing box requirements

The filler can be circular, rectangular, or V-shaped before being compressed.

Unless otherwise specified, the depth of the packing box should not be less than the height of 5 circles of uncompressed packing. The roughness of the contact surface between the packing box and the packing should not be lower than Ra3.2um.

The inner diameter of the packing box should be the sum of the valve stem diameter and twice the width of the packing, with a manufacturing accuracy of HII level.

Handwheel and operation

Unless otherwise specified in the purchase contract, the handwheel of the ammonia shut-off valve should be turned counterclockwise to open.

★ There are "letters" or "on/off" and directional markings on the handwheel that allow for rotation.

The handwheel should be installed on the valve stem and secured with nuts or bolts.
