SIDSP technology

SIDSP is developed by ElektrPhysik (EPK), a leading coating thickness probe technology. EPK technology has established a new standard for innovation in the field of coating thickness measurement. SIDSP stands for Digital Signal Processing inside the probe, which enables the probe to simultaneously process signals inside the probe during measurementCompletely processed into digital form.

How does SIDSP work?

Unlike traditional techniques, SIDSP generates and controls excitation signals at the top of the probe, and the returned signals undergo 32-bit digital conversion and processing to provide you with accurate coating thickness values. This advanced digital processing technology is also applied in modern communication technology (mobile networks), such as digital filters, baseband conversion, averaging, random analysis, and so on. This technology can achieve unparalleled signal quality and accuracy compared to analog signal processing. The thickness value is digitally transmitted to the display device through the probe cable. Compared with ordinary analog probes, SIDSP probes have decisive advantages and set a new standard for coating thickness measurement.
