What are the protective measures for LED explosion-proof lights?
The principle of LED explosion-proof lamp is the same as that of explosion-proof lamp, except that the lamp beads are LED beads, which are various specific lamps adopted to prevent ignition of surrounding explosive mixtures such as explosive dust environment, explosive gas environment, gas environment, etc. So what are the protective measures for LED explosion-proof lights?
In actual operation, LEDs have a current limit of 20mA, but the current often increases due to various reasons during use. If proper protective measures are not taken, the increased current will break down after a certain period of time and amplitude. For the protection of LEDs, the first step is to use a fuse tube. However, fuse tubes are disposable and have a very slow response time, which results in poor performance and is also very troublesome to use. Therefore, fuse tubes are not suitable for use in finished products such as LEDs. We can usually choose to automatically restore the fuse PTC, and through experiments, a more reliable method of use is to keep the PTC force heating the lamp beads further away. In practical circuits, we can choose two ways:
1. Branch protection: Generally, LEDs are divided into many series connected branches. For example, with a voltage of 24 volts, seven LED beads can be connected in series and then a resistor can be added to form a current of 17 to 19 milliamps. Depending on the needs, a multiple of seven beads can be selected to form a whole lamp. A PTC element is added in front of each branch for protection. The advantage of this method is that the reliability and accuracy of protection are relatively good. 2. Overall protection: Connect a PTC component in front of all lamp beads to protect the entire lamp. This method is relatively simple and does not take up space. This method is quite satisfactory for household products.
