Stainless steel rope switch GML-KT220H/GL \ \ IP65 anti-corrosion and waterproofThe prominent feature is its all stainless steel shell structure. Made of 304 or 316L stainless steel material, precision cast and surface polished, it not only has excellent mechanical strength, but also can effectively resist the erosion of corrosive media such as salt spray and acid alkali. In the port transportation system in coastal areas, equipment is exposed to high humidity and high salt air all year round. Ordinary carbon steel switches often rust within six months, while the stainless steel shell of GML-KT220H/GL can maintain corrosion for more than 5 years, greatly reducing maintenance and replacement frequency.
The pull rope switch, commonly known as the emergency stop switch, is used to stop the belt conveyor on site by activating the switch. The bidirectional pull rope switch is widely used in power plants, steel and cement plants, mines, docks and other mining plants with belt conveyors. This product is installed on both sides of the belt conveyor and is a protective switch for emergency accidents of the belt conveyor. At any point within the operating distance of the switch, the steel wire rope is pulled to cut off the operating circuit and stop the entire line, achieving protection for the belt conveyor and personal safety. The IP65 protection level design makes the switch dustproof and waterproof. The sealing structure is made of silicone rubber material, combined with precision machined mechanical sealing surfaces, which can prevent dust from entering and high-pressure water flow from penetrating. The actual measurement in the grinding workshop of the cement plant shows that even if cement dust with a thickness of up to 2cm accumulates on the surface of the equipment, the internal contacts can still remain clean and dry. The unique drainage groove design can quickly guide the infiltrating liquid and avoid short circuits caused by water accumulation in the circuit.

Stainless steel rope switch GML-KT220H/GL \ \ IP65 anti-corrosion and waterproofThe transmission mechanism adopts a bidirectional triggering principle, which can reliably trigger the micro switch action no matter which direction the steel wire rope is pulled from. The innovative buffering device can absorb the mechanical impact generated during emergency shutdown of the conveyor, protecting internal components from damage. Actual test data shows that at a line speed of 2 meters per second, the switch can withstand over 5000 impacts without failure. The reset mechanism is designed with an anti misoperation locking device, which must be manually rotated to unlock before resetting, effectively preventing secondary accidents caused by accidental restarts.
The terminal block adopts a spring crimping structure made of silver plated copper material, combined with waterproof cable joints, to ensure stable electrical connection even in vibration environments. The contact material is made of silver alloy, with a contact resistance of less than 50m Ω and a rated current of 10A/250VAC, which meets the requirements of most conveyor control circuits. The built-in LED status indicator light can be observed through a transparent window, making it easy to quickly determine the switch status.
The installation method fully considers on-site adaptability. Provide cable interfaces in various specifications such as M20, G1/2, etc., supporting horizontal or vertical installation. The stainless steel bracket can adjust the angle to adapt to the layout of conveyors in different directions. Standard 5-meter stainless steel wire rope, can be extended up to 100 meters as needed, and the rope end is equipped with a striking red pull ring. In the installation case underground in a coal mine, the farthest control distance of the switch reached 80 meters, still ensuring reliable triggering force transmission.

Environmental adaptability testing shows that GML-KT220H/GL exhibits stable performance within the temperature range of -40 ℃ to+85 ℃. In the open-air coal yard of minus 30 degrees Celsius in winter in the north, the switch can still operate normally; In the high temperature environment of 70 degrees Celsius at the southern steel plant, the metal components did not deform. The special surface treatment process enables the equipment to resist UV aging and has an outdoor service life of over 100000 mechanical operations.
Working principle: In the event of an emergency on the conveyor belt, the steel wire rope attached to the swing arm can be pulled to rotate the swing arm, causing the cam inside the conveyor belt to sense the micro switch and issue a stop signal.
Main components
The bidirectional rope switch is mainly composed of components such as a pull rod, cam, reset handle, locking groove, micro switch, etc. The pull rope switch is installed on both sides of the frame of the belt conveyor, and is connected to the switch along both sides of the conveyor equipment using a steel wire rope. In the event of an emergency on the conveyor belt equipment, pulling the steel wire rope anywhere along the conveyor line will cause the drive arm to start rotating. Through the transmission shaft, it will drive the torsion spring to displace the precision cam, which will then drive the bidirectional rope switch to cut off the control circuit, causing the conveyor to quickly stop running.
The rope switch is mainly a protective device for belt conveyors to stop in emergency situations. In case of emergency, the rope switch can be used to quickly stop the belt conveyor. At present, the most commonly used rope switches in belt conveyors are passive mechanical bidirectional rope switches. When setting and installing the switch, the pull rope switch is fixedly installed on the brackets on both sides of the belt conveyor, and attention should be paid to maintaining a distance (about 40m), with pull ropes tied between each other on both sides. In the event of an accident or emergency on the belt conveyor, the equipment operator can pull the rope along the belt conveyor to control the belt conveyor with the rope switch and achieve emergency shutdown.
Installation method and precautions
① Choose a reasonable installation spacing and configure steel wire ropes with appropriate thickness based on product characteristics. The brackets for the steel wire ropes should be as smooth as possible, and the spacing between brackets should not be too long (usually between 2-3m). Some manufacturers claim that the installation spacing of their products can reach 100m or even longer, but in actual engineering, it should be controlled within 50m as much as possible to avoid excessive pulling ropes due to their heavy weight and resistance, which may affect operation and switch reset. The thicker the rope, the better (generally, the diameter of the steel wire rope does not need to exceed 5mm). It should be matched with the operating force of the switch. In fact, too thick and heavy a steel wire rope can cause the switch to be in a half action state, which is not only prone to misoperation but also to damage the switch mechanism components.
② Adjust the sensitivity of the action reasonably according to the relevant technical requirements of the equipment switch product. When adjusting the operating force, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the on-site environmental conditions, especially external factors such as equipment vibration and outdoor wind blowing. In addition, attention should be paid to the influence of factors such as belt inclination slope, switch installation spacing, and rope weight on the operating force.
③ The wire rope of the switch should not be too tight, as a slight touch may cause the switch to malfunction. At the same time, the impact of the working environment temperature on the tension rope should also be considered during installation. Generally, in practical use, the tension of the rope should be kept appropriate, and the rope switch can be activated when pulled apart by 15-25cm laterally.
④ Install rope switches on both sides of the belt conveyor. This installation method can maximize the convenience of emergency operations and improve the safety of equipment operation.
⑤ Choose the appropriate installation height. The selection of height should be based on the actual operation situation on site, taking into account the convenience of operation and control personnel, as long as it can achieve rapid response control.
⑥ The wiring method should be appropriate and reasonable, minimizing the unreasonable use of cables, improving connection efficiency, and ensuring the quality of switch connections. When connecting complex interfaces, a simple series connection method should be used to ensure effective connection of switch ports.
